This really made me pause and reflect. The way you’ve unpacked generational patterns, especially around worth, identity and being told who to be before you even know yourself… it’s so real. A lot of people live through that without ever questioning it, so the fact that you’re not only seeing it but actively choosing to break it says a lot. That part about carrying things that were never yours really hit. You deserve more than the bare minimum, and it’s powerful that you’re deciding that for yourself and for the generations after you.
This post resonated with me, Danielle. I can understand where your thoughts are coming from and where they lead. It’s always a dilemma but we have to choose what’s best for ourselves and we know somewhere we can do better in life and leave the expected and accepted hierarchy of things, including jobs, which may not make sense always.
Absolutely and I'm glad it resonated with you. I mean, when you're outside of the situation, it makes total sense but removing the clutter and mental stagnation with true liberation, it takes time. Although it can be frustrating at times = me. not giving myself enough credit lol
Wonderful post.
Thank you
No problem
Loved this Danielle. Very thought-provoking.
Thank you so much, Sue 🙏
